Architecture, history and design
The Habitat project began in 2014, from the idea of two architects – Marianna Nociforo and Antonio Spera – who decided to take a bet on Sicily, their homeland, after various periods working abroad. Their dream was to create the ideal habitat in which to discover the true essence of the island, inside a historic palazzo, in a dynamic urban setting, where the services would be of the highest level and the atmosphere relaxed, informal, authentic, and nothing like the stereotypes.
Habitat Boutique Hotel is in the heart of Catania, just a stone’s throw from the Teatro Massimo Bellini. It benefits from 16 bedrooms, a restaurant, Materia | Spazio Cucina, an architectural firm, Habitat Studio, a relaxation room, reception and the Orto degli Aromi, a vertical herb garden inside the palazzo of the type normally found in Mediterranean courtyard buildings.
An idea of hospitality for every room
Habitat’s bedrooms are all the result of careful research, together with the desire to recover the architectural features of this historic building. Original features have been kept, side by side with marble, velvet, resin and other contemporary decorative solutions that, together with designer furniture pieces give the rooms their sense of comfortable elegance. Each room offers a different stay experience.
