OUR WINE LIST
The wine list at Materia | Spazio Cucina is shaped through tastings, trials, and pairings—following the same creative process as the menu.
It is driven by curiosity, the desire to experiment, and to tell stories: those of independent winemakers who live their land with passion and courage.
We meet them, listen to them, and often—when we bring their wine to the table—we share part of their story too.
We select natural, organic, and artisanal wines with a strong focus on Sicily and the Mediterranean, yet without excluding surprising discoveries from other regions or abroad.
Each bottle is chosen to be in dialogue with the cuisine, following its rhythms and respecting its identity.
Our affiliation with Raisin – The Natural Wine App – the reference platform for natural wine, reflects and reinforces this vision: a living, ethical, and accessible wine list that conveys our philosophy through every glass.

Every dish on the Materia menu is conceived in harmony with the seasons, the ingredients, and the story it tells.
Our menu is structured into sections that reflect the different souls of our cuisine:
Vegetables & Territory, Fish Market, Butchery, Pastry, and Farm.
For each section, our sommeliers offer dedicated pairings, carefully designed to enhance each dish through wine.
A glass that accompanies without overpowering; one that highlights a note or creates a bridge between flavors.
Guests choosing the tasting menu can enjoy a tailored wine pairing, calibrated to the courses and the experience they seek.
FROM ETNA TO THE GLASS

Etna is not just a volcano—it’s a land that speaks through its wine.
Its four slopes—North, East, South, and West—offer different landscapes, microclimates, and soils that are reflected in the glass, delivering unique expressions of Sicily’s native grape varieties.
Through this guided tasting led by our sommeliers, we take you on a journey to discover the volcano’s two great protagonists: Etna Bianco, dominated by Carricante, and Etna Rosso, the deep expression of Nerello Mascalese.
A story told through four glasses, accompanied by local dried fruits—a way to travel around the volcano while seated, and to know Etna through what it expresses most sincerely.
